Notes on the Burial
All are welcome to attend the graveside service at Miramar National Cemetery (see above for date and address). If you wish to attend, please bear the following in mind:
The hearse will be in place near the gate at 11:30 AM.
Family and friends should line up their cars behind the hearse.
At 11:45 AM the hearse will drive to the location for the ceremony and all will process together.
If you arrive after 11:45 you are still welcome to join us! But you may need to drive around to find the location for the ceremony.
The ceremony, with Navy honors followed by prayers, will begin at 12 noon.
The ceremony will end at 12:30 PM; cemetery staff will convey Mark to his resting place, and family and friends can return later to pay their respects at the graveside.
Reception
After the ceremony there will be a reception and memorial meal at St. Gregory of Nyssa Orthodox Parish. All are welcome!
